I’m Alba, and in 2020 I discovered how wonderful it is to create objects with clay.

Mërm Studio was born during the pandemic — a year full of change and uncertainty. At that time, I was working in an office without purpose or intention.

I hadn’t yet found what I was truly passionate about, until pottery crossed my path and captured all my attention.

I began learning deeply about the process, the materials, and everything involved in creating ceramic pieces. Months later, in a self-taught way, I turned all that knowledge into reality, creating pieces without expectations or rules.

Like all beginnings, mine was also difficult. With no experience in entrepreneurship, I made the decision to leave my old job and focus all my energy and intention on this new project.

Over the years, Mërm has grown in surprising ways. Little by little, it has taken shape as I’ve refined its direction and vision.

Through each piece, I try to convey a part of my essence. That’s why every single one is unique. With Mërm Studio, my goal is to give visibility to craftsmanship — to the dedication and work created from love and imperfection. Fully aware of the challenges this entails, I continue moving forward, even against the current of industrialization and mass production.
